Our Sydney Shield side suffered their first loss of the season on the weekend, going down 28-20 to last year’s Grand Finalists Wentworthville. After an outstanding start through the opening 8 rounds, the result provides a strong opportunity for the group to reset, refocus and continue building throughout the season.

The Ron Massey Cup side produced one of their grittiest wins of the year, fighting back from behind to defeat Wentworthville in a strong team performance. With several forced changes heading into the match, the side handed debuts to three Sydney Shield players stepping up into this grade and all three rose to the occasion.

Kaleb Farr was outstanding on debut, earning Man of the Match honours in a performance that showcased the strength of the Mounties pathway system.

Our NSW Women’s Premiership side also kicked off their 2026 campaign in style with a commanding 24-4 victory over Wentworthville in their second trial of the year. The squad showed great intent across the park and is shaping up strongly leading into the season ahead.
